RM of Round Valley’s story
The Rural Municipality of Round Valley No. 410 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 13, 1909. It lies in west-central Saskatchewan and surrounds the town of Unity, where the RM's office is located.
Besides Unity, the municipality includes several unincorporated localities: Buccleugh, Poyser, Swinburne and Unity Station, along with Adanac, which was once a village before it dissolved.
Today the RM is governed by an elected council and an appointed administrator, who meet on the second Tuesday of every month. Visitors can stop at the Unity & District Heritage Museum and the Unity & District Regional Park. Highways 14, 21 and 787 run through the area, and both the Canadian National and Canadian Pacific railways serve it.
